I’m interested in having a piece of jewelry made. What is the process?

It all starts with a conversation. Let’s schedule a call to discuss your ideas. On this call we will talk about diamonds or gems you might already have to use in your new piece or explore our options for sourcing the perfect sparkler. We will also walk you through the process, talk budget and timelines.

How should I prepare for a design consultation?

It is a good idea to take photos of any of your jewelry that you are considering for use in a new piece. You can email them to Ellen before your chat to help her with inspiration. Also, spend some time looking at jewelry! Pinterest is a great place to catalogue your thoughts and ideas about style, possibilities, and your ultimate jewelry goals.

If I’m not local, how do I send you my existing jewelry?

We will send you an insured shipping label that you can use to send your piece to us.

Can you give me an estimate of price before we get too far into the process?

Yes, we will give you an estimated price range at our initial consultation. Once CAD design is complete, we can give you the exact price due upon completion.

Can you use my gold to make a new piece?

While it may be possible to use your gold, there is a premium for doing so. Instead, we typically suggest that you look at exchanging that gold for a credit to be applied to the cost of your new piece. You can also use this credit to purchase any of our one-of-a kind, curated or estate pieces.

Do you require a deposit for custom pieces?

Yes, we require deposit to start the process that will be applied to the balance upon completion of your finished piece.

How long does it take to have custom piece made?

The process is typically 4-8 weeks from start to finish depending on the complexity of the piece. However, we will always try to meet an important date or occasion if at all possible if there is a tight deadline.

Ellen discovered exactly what my wife wanted for an upcoming gift, got it custom made, all guesswork was removed, and I saved thousands of dollars when compared to potentially buying the wrong thing.
